Green Jobs Apprenticeships
KNOX Green Jobs Apprenticeship offers young adults from Hartford a paid, professional job skills training program.
Throughout the apprenticeship program, we prepare participants with hands-on work experience and technical skills to secure full-time employment in an industry that is hiring. Apprentices learn how to plant trees, maintain community gardens, service landscaping properties across Hartford, and much more. Apprentices also experience resume workshops, receive certifications such as OSHA-10, and network with industry employers.
Our 16-week apprenticeship program takes place each Spring and Fall. After apprentices complete two weeks of training and orientation, they begin working under KNOX’s Horticulture Team four days/week, with an additional day dedicated to personal and professional development.
