Love Hartford Month: A Citywide Cleanup Initiative
Join us this October for Love Hartford Month!
Every October, the City of Hartford, KNOX, and Hartford Foundation for Public Giving host Love Hartford. Historically, it’s been a week long event. In 2026, it’s grown to an entire month!
Love Hartford Month empowers hundreds of volunteers to participate in civic engagement opportunities that make our neighborhoods and parks cleaner and greener.
Events throughout the city are held to:
- Plant bulbs and perennial plants
- Plant trees along the city streets and in the city parks
- Support beautification projects in city parks and Neighborhood Revitalization Zones
- Clean up areas with litter and debris
- Clean up KNOX’s Community Gardens
- Build or repair garden beds, planters, and other garden structures
This volunteer opportunity is available to residents, school groups, churches, businesses, and other organizations.
