All KNOX events are open to ALL –  members, volunteers, gardeners, and the public.  

Volunteer opportunities and events with limited numbers and utilizing an abundance of caution are happening.  All are welcome to build a greener, healthier and more beautiful Hartford!  

  • Greater Hartford Green Team 

    • These monthly events bring you together with like-minded people all focused on helping Hartford.  Contact Volunteer & Engagement Manager Elizabeth MacDonald here for more information!

      Location: KNOX, 75 Laurel Street, Hartford, CT, 06106

      Volunteers are asked to dress comfortably for the weather with closed-toed shoes and layers. Sunscreen and bug spray are encouraged. Masks are optional. Light refreshments, snacks, and water will be provided. Parking is on-street or in back parking lot.  Children are welcome and do not require additional signup. Looking forward to seeing you there!

  • Love Hartford Citywide Clean-Up Week

    • Join KNOX and the City of Hartford from October 18-22, 2022 to clean, green and beautify our city!  We are seeking 1500 caring citizens representing all stakeholders in our community to repair, clean, plant and build throughout the entire city.  If you live or work in Hartford, we need you!  If you enjoy the outdoors, meeting wonderful people and making a difference for all, we need you!

  • Hartford Cleans Up!

    • Do you have a project and volunteers and need tools, supplies and support for your organized project?  Are you interested in beautifying a public space through litter and debris cleanup, painting, or planting?  We can help!
    • KNOX equips 1,000 volunteers with tools, supplies, and technical support for a city-wide clean-up every summer.  Register to borrow our tools, get assistance to coordinate and make a big difference in your neighborhood!
